Change the draft age, run the check, then change the source age. The old pass disappears because it no longer describes these inputs. AI-generated work needs checks against the current evidence.A fluent draft can still contradict your notes. Change the draft age, run the check, then change the source age. Watching the earlier pass become stale shows why AI-generated work needs checks tied to the current inputs.

- Keep Current character-note age at 17 and change Draft age to 19.
- Press Check this version and read the mismatch. Set the draft back to 17 and check again.
- Change the character-note age to 18. Notice that the pass disappears. Check again and explain why changing a source requires another review.
Changing either input invalidates the previous result. This checks only the age field.
Character note: 17. Draft: 17. Run the check to compare them.

The idea
A sentence can sound good and still disagree with your notes. This check compares just two numbers: the age in the current character note and the age in the draft. Our character notes say Mira is 17. Imagine a draft suddenly making her 19 on the same day. Both sentences can sound natural, but they cannot both match our starting facts. A narrow check can compare the draft value with the agreed value.
Both start at 17. A pass means those two current numbers agree. It does not prove the source age is true or that the rest of the story is correct. Editing either number means you need to check again. Both ages start at 17. You can edit the current character-note age and the draft age, then press Check this version to compare them. Changing either value invalidates the previous result. A pass establishes agreement between those two inputs, not that the character note is historically correct. It also says nothing about the scene’s literary quality or its other details.
Take this with you
What changed?
A check is most useful when you can name the exact property it examines.
Try explaining it.
If the draft passes this check, may we announce that the whole chapter is correct?
Open a possible explanation
No. We compared two age fields for the current inputs. The source itself, other continuity details and writing quality still need their own examination.
